Florida Cultural Group, Inc. is a nonprofit arts and community organization dedicated to creating, entertaining, and strengthening an artistic, creative, curious, and thriving community by bringing people together.
Founded in 1947 as The Manatee Players, the organization has grown from a community theatre into a multifaceted cultural organization serving thousands of individuals each year. Florida Cultural Group owns and operates the Manatee Performing Arts Center in downtown Bradenton, offering live theatre, music, education, youth and senior programming, community events, and opportunities for artists and volunteers of all ages.
Our work extends well beyond the stage. Through educational programs, scholarships, workforce training, community partnerships, and accessible arts experiences, we use the arts as a vehicle for learning, connection, personal growth, and community impact. Our campus continues to grow with the development of Sara’s Studios, a new conservatory that will expand opportunities for dance, theatre, music, education, rehearsal, and collaboration.
For nearly eight decades, Florida Cultural Group has evolved alongside the community we serve while remaining committed to one simple idea: bringing people together can strengthen an entire community.
